No its more to the fact 'duck' that you lock threads when someone is going against your opinion or idea.

I do no such thing. If someone disagrees and has superior reasoning, I submit to it. Unfortunately when my reasoning is superior, people rarely submit to it because they are irrational. I lock threads if that irrationality gets out of hand.

But yes, that does result in irrational people mistaking my rational behavior for "being a ****".
