In terms of playing the games, the Kotaku article explicitly states "Regardless, to be clear, only one family member can actually be playing the game at a time (in addition to you, of course)." So that seems to say otherwise. I or they could well be wrong, but I hope not, as that'd actually be a nice opportunity.

As for what defines a family, it could well be better than iTunes, as having to be signed in yourself on each computer you authorise isn't exactly amazing, the family process could be a bit more fluid. And it could be worse for sure, just saying that once again we shouldn't get riled up on this front because we genuinely don't know.

I dont't think even the tide of shitty stuff so far should make us assume the worst as a matter of course about the XBO, because as you seemed to gesture towards with your initial point about normally being the one to try and keep things in perspective/focus on known quantities before actually reacting strongly, I don't think it's a good principle to go by even if you're likely to be right.

Wholeheartedly agreed. Even people who try to keep a balanced perspective and not jump to conclusions are having their patience crapped all over here. Not impressed.

That said, did you see the thing about being able to share game libraries with up to 10 family members, on any Xbox? Apparently you can even have two people playing at once. CBA to link cause I'm on my phone, but I think it was a kotaku article, I'm sure Google will turn it up. Holding out judgement on whether its actually a silver lining until specifics are covered, but an interesting move either way.
