Motives mean nothing here. The system needs to continue in the exact fashion it was designed (aside from the smaller stuff I asked for input on) or it simply won't work. Once it was clear that any system settled on would be missing major components that everyone assumes weren't integral (or more likely, necessary) it too became clear (by design) that the system wouldn't work. Compromise in any regard other than what I offered meant everything breaking down. That's why nobody was meant to see it until a month before launch because staunch disapproval to the changes would ultimately change and kill what was laboriously crafted and tested in small scale. It was a death knell to me when shock said he wanted a voice chat. I even told others how it would go down. So there was really no point in trying to work on it any further.

Assume in regards to what?

I read every post concerning all this as it was posted. The compromise thread was ignored but not unread. If it's in regards to RH throwing in with chrono, the summary I got was "we've decided to keep things separate" or something to that effect, and that I should attempt to spend even more time trying to explain why nothing's changing for RH and why TG is currently broken. I decided that after all the very, very detailed responses I wrote up explaining everything in every conceivable way and analogy, that the added intonation of voice wasn't worth wasting my time with.

As soon as I saw you guys threw your lots in with him, apparently thinking RH would be just as changed as TG in general would be, I decided to cut my losses and not bother wasting more time (considering the essay reply posts I spent hours on we're thereupon useless). So I'm taking everything somewhere else where people aren't so committed to the proven-broken status quo.

I excluded myself. The "ideal system" wasn't a compromise, it was the same system under a new name for the purposes of what I was trying to do. The fact if the matter is, RH would be almost completely unaffected, the only real change is when your feedback would be given in the mapmaking process. Same people, same template even, just a different setup.

The only person who should be upset beyond any moral principle (on the whole case of being shut out until the final moments, essentially) would be chrono. But considering his entire setup is to be changed, that he would be staunchly against it (as was rightfully anticipated) and the fact that he is isn't anywhere near as necessary compared to RH people, it doesn't matter at all.

Right on, I don't live anywhere near my family, so they don't know, but my roommate knows, and is a douche about it. But I've got a handful of friends that I've converted. :D
