The staircase you're talking about had a spiker on it. (In terms of flow from the custom room, dead ends into the spiker, but from the GL room, a more risky route into the custom room in return for a spiker). So there is incentive to go through it.

So I think I might just go ahead and release Syphon. I mean, I don't remember there being any issues with it during the testing for the smackdown contest.
