Yup. Good stuff, though I can't say I agree entirely. Of course, I wouldn't be satisfied if everything continued as it is, but I was hoping we could integrate both groups' systems into Sarge's. I'm not confident it will work out, but I thought it'd be worth talking about to see what everyone thinks.

Overall, I definitely agree that we should be allowed to continue with our plans without being steamrolled by an external opinion.

I'll leave you with my last post on MLGpro.com, before I left the community for good:

It's crazy how this map went from being a top-of-the-line forge map that was "perfect" for competitive gameplay, to a curse for all MLG forgers.

In it's beginning, Onslaught was a gateway that inspired many people to start forging (including me) due to its fast paced gameplay and near perfect forging.

Now, it is a symbol that represents the ignorance that plagues the MLG community. Onslaught was made 4 years ago, and instead of striving to improve on competitive design, MLG requested that we make improved versions of this all-too-simplistic map. There are a number of reasons why Halo: Reach lost MLG supporters, but one large reason was one that they could have avoided: The maps that were released on disc. If only MLG realized how beneficial cooperation with the forging community would have been, perhaps Reach would still be on the circuit.

This is in no way a personal attack on Salot. This was a great map when it was first released. But unfortunately the community does not support the idea of change: "if it isn't broke, don't fix it". I say "if it isn't broke, improve it".

I'll try to summarize:

SaLoT is a pioneer to forge, and one of the most known forgers, if not, the most known.

Popular most for having the first forge map to ever go into matchmaking/the circuit, he has been the MLG community's go-to forger ever since. In Reach, he has had two maps installed into the circuit: MLG Redemption, and MLG The Pit.

He is know amongst the MLG forge community to be the most elitist, self-centered forger.

I have given SaLoT many chances to see if he has matured, only to find him go back to his previous state that he's notorious for.

So, this whole "SaLoT" and "onSLaughT" thing started as a clever way of making fun of him. But I've been doing it for well past a year, and it's simply a catchphrase for me now, and SaLoT doesn't take it offensive.
