I hope the LG goes well..I'm liking to look of it. I too am actually sad about the fake Sony nexus. Sony looked like they were about to turn out something good and since they ditched Ericsson they've really turned themselves around.

Ness...Earthbound...SSB? So sad at life right now.

Wow you are unlucky with that S2. Time for the LG Nexus :P

But yeah I gotta get off PA..but my battery life literally double from what I assume is Dorimanx so I just haven't bothered yet lol. I also noticed settings in Dori pertaining to volume with headphone jack, etc. I didn't look into them too much but could you maybe use it to get around your volume issue?

So far I've not found anything better than CM10. It in ways has less customization but there are still some things I like way better (stock browser for one). I only even switched off because I thought I was getting RIL crashes because of my bad service but I wasn't..my appt just sucks lol.

Also, do you actually not know who Ness is?!

Is your avatar Ness? Just curious, thought he shared a resemblance..

Stock browser sucks on PA too. Slow and more like a desktop but makes tab switching meh. From is zippy fast but crashes more than stock. Probably gonna go back to Cm later. I love the jelly notification system and Google now so I can't go to ICS. RR jelly has been having some build problems so I don't think there is much better than cm10 right now for jelly. Maybe things will be great in Nov with Sammy release of jelly but I'll probably get a Nexus.

I recently updated to the CM nightly from the other day though and it was just as good. I don't usually jump on a nightly til the day after so I can see what everyone else is saying lol.

I never get crashes on CM honestly. I was running an espen experimental from the start of Oct. Once they fixed the mem leak it was rockin. Some people get ril crashes..I couldn't tell if I did (service is terrible at my appt) so I flashed something else (even though it is CM based people don't seem to complain about ril crashes) and threw on a siyah based kernal. I was fine on CM though..kernal is smooth and fast with better governor settings but CM>paranoid android so far.

PA has this menu setting, which while cool, doesn't fit the phone well. You see all the "open" version of the list (like networks, data, etc) to the right and all the list choices to the left. Too compact IMO.

You can change all of the DPI settings, go into phablet and tablet mode. Most stuff revolves around those changes, but I haven't seemed to figure them out because when you select them they auto change the DPI and it messes up the app icons.

Installed inverted gapps (ew) and dorimanx kernal. Kernal seems decent so far, can't really tell.

Mayhaps I will get office then. I seem to have less need of it then initially was believed..I just remembered why it was because I dropped the class I need it for most.

Eh, I torrented iWorks..even though I thought it was quite reasonably priced. Just happened that it was a "need it right now" situation lol.

Yeah I was undervaluing 7 a bit, it was a great OS. I just had a shitty laptop to run it on because my alienware broke before I upgraded to 7. On the subject of 8 though: UI is a big, big portion of it. Tablets aren't really my thing yet, so I'm not down with that interface. Performance issues can a lot of times be circumvented through hardware upgrades (not ideal, but even Vista was satisfactory on a good speced machined) but UI can be tough to easily change, especially for the more mainstream audience.

I have noticed Lions bad memory management actually, especially with heavy previews (my text books). I will say that I enjoy how Apple handles their software/OS releases. Great prices..I don't even feel compelled to torrent anything by them really.

Sammy did say this. Whether anything comes of it...we shall see.

Funny to see that the rumored GNex2 is this Galaxy Premier thing.

You could be entirely right..I wouldn't put it past them to make a big deal out of the initial media scan being slower lol.
