Took it to the shop I got it from. Seeing as it was still in warranty, I might as well get it repaired since I have to use it for another year, rather than having a broken phone and having to carry around another bulky device.

Tbh even if I'd had to pay for the repair I probably would have, doubt it'd be expensive and it'd suck having an awesome phone which doesn't work for the thing I use it for most.

It's my music player so yeah, all the time. Any time I'm walking anywhere and every time I smoke since I have to do it outside. The vast majority of my music is played off my phone.

Tbh it was a little dodgy when I bought it. I'd get crackle/slight cut out when I rotated the jack, and it got worse until about 10 months after I bought it then the left channel just died altogether. Probably would have been OK for most people, but I use it enough that it exacerbated the problem to the point where it broke.

I think the repair they did was dodgy, guessing they just opened it up and saw a loose solder point or something and touched it up rather than replacing the component. I suspect this because the port is still a tiny bit loose like it was before the repair, it only lasted like 2 months before dying again and it was the left channel that went last time as well so it strikes me as sub-par repair. Hopefully they do it properly this time, or maybe even give me a new phone. Unlikely but fingers crossed.

Apex free is better than Nova free in terms of available features, but I understand that for paid versions Nova is pretty boss.

The headphone port died again, no left channel.
