Sucks though, because the S2 does have one of the biggest dev communities and still runs into these issues. Google just needs to push hard on the Nexus line from now on.

@PC Master Race: I know, it's pretty hilarious honestly. I'm a CS major and all my profs own Macbooks because they're superior in every way to PC laptops. If it weren't for some software compatibility, Macs would be taking over. Here I was embarrassed about going into CS with a mac..so wrong lol. It's funny, we have linux labs and mac labs but we don't even mention Windows as of yet. I'm sure down the road there'll be more focus on that end of things but lately it feels like Windows is the same as IE. Bad, but very mainstream. Windows XP was awesome and 7 was decently good, but with Vista being so terrible and 8 looking meh..hope things start getting to work better with OSX.

It was what the Gnex defence force used to always say on the XDA boards when people got on about the phones less than stellar specs. I've heard it mentioned again in the CM10 thread when talking about upcoming Nexus devices.

Basically I think the idea is that when the phone goes to read things, it also checks the external SD, which is relatively dated, slower tech (albeit, common and easy). Can't tell you if I noticed much of a difference between my GNex and my S2..didn't use the GNex long enough, but I'll take their word for it.

Yeah I think I'll grab the LG Nexus in November once my loan comes in for school. I really do love the S2 but man, I want a stable rom too :(

Pretty much the same, especially when it comes to 2gig of RAM. I actually don't jampack but phones, so I'd be okay with 16 and no SD card (meh, I'm fine with the argument that it slows the system down), but I dislike that 8 is the minimum version, which means the 16 will automatically be jacked in price for no reason.

I really wanted a 4.3inch screen (I love the size of my S2), but I was half okay with my Nexus width when I had it. LTE isn't that big in Canada yet, so quad core>LTE.

All in all, decently happy with it sans the storage size. My first phone was an LG, though they've had a lot of bad rep lately. Would you personally buy an LG? I find it tough to abandon Sammy..but the Exynos problems have been hurting my love. Hope the dev community would focus on it, but given that it's a Nexus I can't see how they'd ignore it, even if it is an LG lol.

Thoughts on the LG Nexus?

especially from my experience of learning what actually goes into these sort of things at school. people dont understand the huge limitations of making something for a game vs. something for a film.
