Yeah, based on the time you were buying you definitely made the right choice in avoiding the GNex. It's a lovely phone (much better than the S2 imo, mostly because of the ROM and the nicer screen), but at this point anyone who really wants a Nexus should wait for the next one. An S2 for free vs. locking yourself in for a Nexus right now is no competition.

RR has a JB build already.

I would if I had the money. I've got less than a year left on my contract, no way I'm dropping £500 on a phone when I can get one for free with a new contract. Also I think I'm gonna stop buying Galaxy S devices and shoot for the next Nexus instead. The vanilla Android experience is awesome, I'm sick of having to flash through ROMs to achieve it and wait ages for them to be as stable as Nexus ones.

Yeah, TW has some upsides, but for the most part you can get those recreated by custom ROMs built for Samsung phones. I've never been that interested in using straight CM ROMs when you can get device specific ones built off a CM or AOKP base but with all the tweaks we miss from the stock ROM. That's why I like Resurrection Remix, it has all of those black themed apps which I agree are much nicer, and iirc you can get a TW style dialer mod as well.

Idk, launchers other than the Touchwiz one feel specifically more official to me. I hate the look of TW vs vanilla Android and feel things like Apex are at least closer to the latter, and have nice functions. RR is indeed JB now, not perfect, but I haven't been able to try the latest version as my S2 is in for repair again and I'm stuck using my old G1.

What's unreal count? If you dislike black backgrounds then try device specific ROMS, I'm running on Resurrection Remix and it has black themed Gapps and is generally nice. I've yet to really experience the genius of Google Now. I only have 250MB a month data allowance so I can't leave it on and get a feel for the suggestion aspect of Now, I need to change my plan really badly.

Not really dude... I'd be just as critical depending on what got featured, as I was with Nutduster's Hoglauncher. And it is pretty lame that you're featuring the smackdown maps after it was said that wouldn't happen. ****, you could have just done giant front page announcements about the maps instead each week... But I honestly don't care, I don't really even have time for Halo anymore these days. Probably for the best really, as gaming has become more of a toxic asset in my life where as it was once intended to be my escape from alcohol and drug abuse in real life. Now that I've cleaned my personal life up big time, dealing with forge drama is the only downer I've got left.

Nah man, because it was a catch 22 scenario. My big gripe about the map was the plethora of frequent movement options that would aid evasion though, so if that's been changed... But that be the case, why couldn't you guys have given the some consideration and consultation to other maps?

I can't imagine it could have improved by much. It wasn't good from the start, probably still isn't good not, and most certainly wasn't better with or without "consideration" for the settings than a good number of the other entries. And it definitely is not feature worthy.
I could have sworn you guys said you wouldn't be doing these feature sheenanigans for this. Dafuq.
