Oh.. realized this just after I posted... there's no sword or shotgun on my map :P Also, what do you think of moving the rockets to the current sniper hall, putting a GL where the health pack is ATM, moving the health pack in front of the area it is currently (so it's super exposed) and giving each side a sniper rifle?
Ah. My intention was to have the flag close enough to that staircase that players couldn't shoot down the flag carrier (and/or teammates) before he reached the flag. Although that was wrecked by my last move.. :P I'm also kinda iffy about moving it up because there's supposed to be a gravity lift as a flank path for the left side quite close.. I don't want sword-base-esque slaughters as inexperienced players repeatedly come up the yellow lift and die.. Although moving the lift elsewhere / adding a new path around the outside is an option too.
Just curious, why is top green a better flag spawn? I'm new to forging CTF, so I don't know some of the rules of thumb. I didn't want to go top green because I thought it would encourage campers at the high ground....
I think I have the solution to all my pathmapping troubles. I'll just use two of the three entrances from that one side to the rocket hall, not use those teleporters from the first version, and forget about that room with the gl. That way, the shorter path down the right side is more dangerous (goes through the rocket spawn LoS). YAY!!! But seriously, what is flr?????? EDIT: The rest of the map is now up in the map sketch thread.. it's symmetrical for now (eww). Subject to change when I can come up with something different but similar to the first. (lol)

Hey, Auburn, I scaled up one atrium and opened it up quite a bit. What do you think of it? [spoiler][IMG][/spoiler] I posted it in the map sketch thread in case anyone else wanted to see it... although I might send this to xzamplez too. EDIT: forgot to tell you. The pink point's the flag stand and the black circle's a silent lift up to the left side.. the los across the map there is blocked, though.

I wasn't being sarcastic. That map is beautiful. Why didn't you make it earlier? It's good enough to be in smackdown in my opinion. Sometimes I felt I was just chasing you through teleporters. It was kinda confusing. Instead of having 2 teleporters just have 1. And put the receiver in the most low traffic area. That's just my opinion though.
