I think you misunderstood me. I appreciate that he tried to be as true as possible to Marathon, but as I see it, the version of his map with three rocket launchers seems to serve more as a nostalgia provider. In that case, I think it should be casual. The haloized version he mentioned, however, should be considered competitive because it doesn't solely appeal to that nostalgia.
Okay, I think Duck and I are going to do a big customs lobby this week. We'll test both amps there then I'll write a feedback covering both (unless Duck wants to do a separate one for War Pig.) Either way, I'll talk about features of both in mine and try to help you develop the idea you are going for, which I think I understand and I definitely like. I will see how the scorps feel on War Pig and decide how I like them.
I think that's where I am heading with it. 1 question, how attached are you to having a tank? Just so I know beforehand, because I could try to work it in if you want.
Alright, I'll pick one when I get there. I think both have similar issues, but maybe they are easier to explain on Keplar because it is more about removing stuff where as I would talk about adding things more on War Pig.
Are you sure? From the pics Keplar looks better, at least in terms of cover and lines of sight. War Pig looks pretty open.
I see you've added Keplar to the tg. It's looking great so far! Invite me if you ever need testing on your maps.
Yeah sure. I much prefer testing BTB if I can and this looks like a decent map already, one where I can help instead of just having to explain why the map won't work. Besides I haven't done a TG test in a while and I need to do one. How is Hotel Zanzibar coming along?
Haha I'm looking to get a preview in a few days! Thanks for the interest. As for releasing it I need to fix frame rate first which I have been hiving a bit of trouble with.
Paints, I would volunteer for the Tester's Guild, but the times I can play on the xbox are highly erratic. Could I participate in the testing lobbies even though I'm not in the guild itself?
It was pretty damn good man although I cannot say much given that wasn't a very good test. You definately have a nack for big team battle. Invite me next time you plan for a legitamite testing session. As far as problems go, I disliked sniper spawn as I felt it was an overpowered position for infantry. The height advantage coupled with the sniper, concussion rifle, and a health pack made it the only place I sought after the entire game.
Thanks, the teleporters speed the game up like crazy, but I'll see what it's like without one of them. As for Smackdown, it wouldn't have worked well. The bottom is basically one big circle and the turns are sort of tight.
