Yep, but I haven't listened to the album with those two songs on it, so that'll be my next listen then.

I LOVE that song. It's one that really stuck out as I've been listening through the NiN discography.

I play Infection all the time, so I was thinking I should probably add you on Live. That way, when we're both online and both have time, I can play some Infection with you and give you a sense of what we're doing at BIOC. Besides, I also really like competitive maps as I'm really competitive myself, but I don't play that kind of maps too often anymore either. So it would be a win-win situation, it seems.

I have a feeling it's been up for a long time, probably since the last invasion task.

Also the same one the cartographers use for general submissions. Only thing the same is the "theme" though. It's pretty easy to make with google docs but the customization is also limited.

I just found out this exists

No problem. It's pretty obvious if you think about it anyway: when everyone has the same goal and has to follow the same route, this creates a strong feeling of unity among all players.
But it doesn't hurt to mention it of course.

Which brings me to the other difference: In Linear maps, everyone gets to explore the same area at the same time, while in Free Roam, the players get to choose for themselves where to go at what moment. I'm not saying that's better though, don't get me wrong, but it's something to keep in mind. Because both differences can offer great stuff if you work it out. :)

Yeah, so far all I've made were Infection maps and Minigames. I don't really have the time to work on something else, something I'm not really experienced at yet. I do hope to make a decent BTB map sometime though. Invasion has always had my interest, but I think it's going to be too difficult to make something fresh and outstanding in one try.
Linear and Free Roam both have their advantages and disadvantages. The types of cooperation and map exploration are what I personally consider the most important differences, so those could help you to define what you want to go for. Basically in Linear maps there's teamwork by all players in each moment of the game (except for the travelling parts of course), whereas in Free Roam maps, you can choose to group up with a couple of buddies, and mostly you're going to stick at one place the rest of the round.

Hold on to it then, I'll put up the latest version (it's near done now) in my fileshare soon (tomorrow or so) and change the link in the thread, so you will be able to play on the newest variant.
If you're making an Infection map, I would suggest making it a competitive one. (That is, hardcore survival Infection.) Too many casual easy beezy maps have been made in the past already.

      :(

Eventually you'll be able to, I'm sure of that. :P
Have you checked out the new Deadborough submission yet?
