I have recently changed my opinion on writing/creating art based in anothers created universe. I wrote a piano instrumental, feeling inspired by a Batman movie, so I feel like I was judging it to harshly as a waste of talent. If it's what inspires someone, so be it, regardless of how silly it may seem to someone else. I realized that being inspired by anything is a valid channel for emotion and art, be it nature, life, or others work... even if that work is a cartoon someone might enjoy.

Also, when I talk about Bronys being into fighting against "haters", being interested in Pony Porn, and generally just growing stronger because of hatred: I'm talking about where Bronies (Is it bronies or bronys?) originated from. The extremists on websites like 4chan.

Part 2:

I think art should be about self expression, and while it might be fun to take a dip in the pool, jumping in and creating porn, albums, and on-going comics of the series seems like a bit of a waste.

I'm not judging any of the art to be bad, I just think the artists would be better served using their (quite impressive) talents to create their own universes, and share their ideas with the world.


And like I said, even that is only a negligible gripe I have with any form of "fan-fiction", not necessarily My Little Pony.

Part 1:

I try to be reasonable, and I think my logic is pretty solid on this one, sorry bro.

MLP is just a huge fad. Not one that I hate more-so than anything else I've come across in my time walking the earth, but a nonsensical fad just the same. It'll have it's prime, then slowly start to decline (now), then eventually die off. Just like everything else that has ever been, or ever will be.

I will say, I actually think the tv show is well animated, and teaches children valuable life lessons. I don't see how you go from that to enjoying rainbow colored and sparkly bestiality, but I try not to judge others sexual preferences.

The only thing that even negligibly bothers me about the whole thing is when I see talented writers/singers/songwriters/artists spending their time, energy, and ideas into creating art in the Brony universe.
