First of all, welcome to ForgeHub!
About your PM, you're probably talking about BIOC, but this is how you can do it:

* Signing up for a BIOC round. (New thread every two weeks!! The link is for the current one)
Click on the link, read the text (all of it!), copy the template in the quote and paste it in the reply box at the bottom of the page.

* Posting a map in the submission thread.
Really easy, again just copy the template, scroll down and paste it in the reply box.

* Adding pictures: Go over to that link to learn more.

For the rest it's best to just search around a bit, read stuff and ask people. Most of them will love to help you out :)
