That is a nice graph you got there. Whilst I belive you findings, there is no proof to prove the link between IQ and religion. There is also a high chance that the data has been invalidated by some means. The results are so grouped together, and there is nothing in the middle. This suggests a bias sample.

Until you prove that the graph is reliable, and of scientific proof of a correlation, then I can only call your graph bias or a fluke, and thus, unconclusive

I'm guessing the guy who produced that graph would of sat in the bottom left corner?

You can't compare religion to IQ in any aspect at all... they're at the opposite ends from each other. IQ measures scientific findings. Religion is belief. Belief =/= Evidence therefore, it can't be measured.

There is no correlation between IQ and religion. IQ measures all things scientifical. Religion is the opposite of science because it deals in evidence and a theory of speculation. Religion deals with belief and ancient stories that have survived thousands of years.

Simply put, you can't compare an IQ to anything religiously based because it doesn't measure any knowledge of religion. If you personally believe you are more intelligent because you believe them to be wrong in believing in Gods and such (I said believe a helluva lot then o.O) then you're rather foolish...

I just wanted to give you my answer to your poll even though it got closed off. The answer for me would be neither. It doesn't effect anyone intellectually in any way. In fact, intelligence can only really be measured using scientific measurements which completely pushes any religious knowledge away without considering it.

All in all, a belief is something only a concious person can believe in, they still remain that person regardless of what they believe overall....
