I'm not saying that it's them being too innocent in their own canon, because sometimes innocence can be the catalyst for the hottest, dirtiest scenes ever. However, my stigma with the ponies in that Rarity thing is first of all, I have no personal connection to the development of the series, so seeing this dark divergence from MLP fun-time has no effect on me. There's a couple other things I'd touch on, but seeing as I'm not familiar enough with the actual series it would be inappropriate of me on that regard.

As someone of a masochistic nature I can appreciate the dark neuro-erotic tones that those strips set forth, but the effect isn't achieved through the ponies (at least for me) because they're never presented in a way that ever could be sexually appealing.

Well considering you two are hands down the best Journo's this site has ever had (at least since I became an avid member) I can attest to that.

Dude, I wish I could read Latin. Dante's Inferno had that holy trinity rhyme scheme going on, but the translaton I got my hands on (supposedly the most accurate English version out there, too) could only accomplish ABA CDC. It's impressive nonetheless that the translator was able to keep that up while having each line retain the meaning from the Latin counterpart. But the original Latin work used the "center" rhyme as the "first" and "third" in the following stanza. So, ABA BCB CDC DED. I toed the original work and didn't understand anything, but it was weaved together and read so beautifully. Don't get me wrong; it was great the way it was, props to the translator, too; I just wish I could see it in all its glory. :[

Weird..they're usually pretty lenient as long as they're selling toys. Especially since they don't make their own plushies. Maybe there was a change in upper management or they were just annoyed that she was making a grand on every plushie lol. It's quite disheartening, though I wouldn't be surprised if they went back on this and tried to fix things.
