      The initial idea of 'rights' was a slow but inevitable progression. 'the divine right of kings' only flies for so long. Eventually people ask 'who gave the king his right to do this?' it's only a matter of time before they are going to realize that whoever gave the king rights might have given out some others. Rights as we think in the modern day can be thanked to none other than Thomas Paine, who in my view is not credited enough.

      Upon re-read; i think you took my 10 year point to mean more than i implied. I was just trying to get you to imagine the perspective science will put on mankind inside of a very short period of time.

      And for the record, the first amendment was a partial response to Jefferson's flood of letters detailing religious harassment, from other religions. The wall protects both parties from each other and from themselves.

      Did you even read the polls i showed you? Then how can you say there isn't at least progress among rallying a debate of reason on these matters for the first time.

      And i never implied that atheism is being positively marshalled by politics or by the media, to the contrary. Yet that seems to be what you are expecting me to produce? I don't see why i have to be sorry, just because parliament thinks this topic is suicide.

      And how exactly do you think these changes did come about? The american constitution is founded upon the desire to no longer be tied to a monarchy. Freedom of speech and of the press was founded upon atheists or people of no faith and yet has produced the most open society for both religious and non. What anthropological study am i ignoring?

      So when Cameron says that dissent among the Youth isn't down to lack of prospects, or that they have absolutely destroyed educational funding to the poor, but it's because of the lack of Christian principles in society?

      I don't agree with apologetics, so we won't agree. I'm firm in my opinion that religion and social welfare prosper when separated, and there is plenty of information out there on this struggle, so i don't see how your not aware of it.

      You are seriously saying you don't see a change in control of military power or religious statehood in your lifetime? Despite the fact that this has occurred in maybe as many as ten countries just in your lifetime?

      I don't think our generation is going to put up with this kind of stuff. We have already seen the atheist numbers nearly doubled in less than a few years, and it's not going to stop. Inside of 10 years science is going to have a more revolutionary change on our understanding of nature and our origins for the general public than ever before.

      And cmooon.. How can you think there is a place in school for teaching Christian values? Have you not heard Dawkins talking about the strategies used to immunize children against scientific prospects? They are taught the wrong way of thinking, and told to ignore the right way. Even the conventional principles alone are enough to completely undermine scientific inquiry, because it's selling you there is no mystery, no discovery, just God.

      We just need to drop a monarchy for a constitution. We know the queen or future king isn't an ambassador of faith, yet she any anyone after her will be the head of the church. We know the she isn't a combatant, and yet she is the head of the armed forces. Why do we hold on to these formalities over powers when they aren't even used? How do we stop this outrage of passing whatever future laws seem to fit the public panic without any regard to our direction?

      Our attachment to old conventions is going to seriously **** up our future politics if we don't draw some lines and stand by them. We have no constitution on freedom of speech , and as such it is a freedom that has stagnated and squandered, from the terrorism act to abuse within the media.

      it may be awkward but we know that religion is incompatible with scientific inquiry. Religion builds up a psychological wall that you are told cannot be breached, and this is poison to the minds of children. I'm not saying the government should take a stance against the religious presence within family values. I'm saying the government should impose a wall between church and state, and the government should take no side or make no comment on the matter, or any matter regarding religion. Christianity should be out of schooling because it is in breach of this.

      but you can't deny that subjecting children to Christian faith and the effects of not joining at the age of 5 is unacceptable. Obviously you are going to find many comparisons of Christian integration in the UK as from a statutory level the UK is a Christian country.

      you could also mention control over primary education by the church of England in this country. This is clearly a fallacy that should be done away with, but i think blowing religion in children's faces at least makes them aware of the context. Naturally they ask questions and wonder, and i can imagine many people have (as i did) refuted evidence for God at an early age.

      Yea i've been doing some research into rapid development. ****. is. crazy. Cities are developing and expanding at such a rate that they are merging. Massive industry used to be found on the east coast for easy trade over the pacific but the emergance of the eu has sprang all of this market in the western and mainland regions. Seriously, 5 provinces north of Hong Kong are merging into one, home to some 160 million people. Here is the central area, undergoing massive development;

      And he's highlighting his sporadicism bringing up China. That is an entirely different discussion altogether. Regardless, there is a massive growth of Christianity in China, believed to be a product of it's massively growning western import.

      Some arguing ammunition because i cba with pacmonsters rhetoric;

      Heard in many discussions and lectures and witnessed many cases of doubt and unease among the Christian west. The tipping point tends to be situations of emotional turmoil as opposed to the amounting of evidence to the contrary of theism. I just thought you should be aware, so you can make him aware, that many of the champions of religion in the public sphere are much less certain about their faith than our atheist friends often take them to be.
