Haha, nah. The dentists didn't need to update their website on a regular basis. They don't have a blog. They just wanted to put some information for their patients to learn and a contact page to reach them. They hired me for a complete branding package, so try to save some money, going just hand-scripting was more affordable for them. Otherwise I would have done it on a CMS for them. 138 pages of hand-coding that. No sleep. -___-

Anyways, I prefer to use WordPress, it's what I have worked with the most and am more comfortable in. It's also very user-friendly for whoever will manage the website, and a very robust/stable software.

CMS = Content Management System. It's a pre-created framework for developers to work off from. It's created using PHP in order to create separate template files for different pages, as well as includes for header, footer, etc.. (Stuff that would repeat on every page). For example, on vBulletin each page has own php template: Forum Home, ThreadView, Postbit (for each comment/post), etc..

You need to know PHP in order to create a CMS. As users, it's not mandatory because the php templates have been created for you. In each template you can use HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc.. in order to edit the pages. I do have some experience with PHP, but not enough to build and create custom scripts. However, I do know enough to make tweaks and modifications.

I can do both (In CMS or with HTML pages)
