ahhh well it depends what you want to do. I could probably do some research and find you the parts you need if you tell me what your computer needs to do... and for how much you're willing to spend lol.

You know those cubes you got as a kid with the different shaped holes on each side and you have to get all the shapes into the cube?

Well, it's like that... you can't put something in the wrong place because it literally won't fit. The only thing you need to concern yourself with is the CPU mounting as it's the only thing that can really go wrong.

If you buy a barebone kit with a processor already mounted, all you'd need to do it slot your graphics card in and plug in your hard drive and boom.. computer finished :)

5870 is about the same as a 5950. (Bear in mind, the ATI breed of 59xx series is the same as the AMD breed of 69xx series)

58xx series is single GPU processors.
59xx series is like a crossfire of two 58xx series GPUs on a single GPU.

The 5970 was two 5850 cards on one board, so a 6970 is the same. I'm not so sure what the 6950 would be, perhaps two 5770s? Either way, two of those would be some serious processing power.

I'd recommend nVidia though if I'm to be honest. ATI/AMD have poor drivers and definitely aren't running the market anymore. With that said, it's been a while since I've checked over any benchmarkings...

Depends on the specs. My roommate runs minecraft on a laptop and it works perfectly fine.

Yeah, your account isn't actually stored anywhere on the computer you register on. It's in the servers at Minecraft.net. Anyone with an account can sign in on any computer if it has Minecraft on it.
