Yeah I'd agree with your last point. Basically the problem is as I said though, we couldn't come to a consensus on a workable way to expand the rank, so whilst no changes are on the cards we're definitely open to ideas.

The implementation of TGIF host as a prestige rank was essentially on that basis: to provide official recognition (in the form of a rank) to the CL in the same way as the RH and TG ranks. The question of tying it in more specifically with CL activities came up right away, but there are certain obstacles to that (admittedly preferable) situation. There aren't really any explicit and structured customs events other than TGIF with which to define the requirements of the rank. Plus, I'm of the mind that losing the TGIF host element of the requirements could hurt the event in turn, and the alternative means extending the responsibilities of the rank even further which risks hurting participation.

That's not to say we're closed to any further ideas on the subject, just that it did come up in our own discussions and was hard to reconcile with how defined and transparent we wanted the rank to be, so if you have some specific ideas for a workable integration of other CL duties then I'll happily offer them up in Staff.

I've actually been pretty nice to the people on here, used to troll hard on boards long ago before the term troll was even coined.

I came here for a similar reason as everyone else: I wanted different forge maps than what you can find at MLG. Great maps don't pop up too often here, but when they do, it's worthwhile.
