Quite possibly... it just seems very odd that it doesn't use the windows live box, but requires you to type the password in. And it popped up around the same time it's in the news about everyones accounts being hacked for cash... it just doesn't seem very trustworthy at the moment :S

mate at work said his bud had the same message sent to him and he signed up, two days later his account was hacked.

I've just changed my password on windows live that's associated with my xbl gamertag and I'm going to remove my credit cards... might be worth doing the same.
