So I was wandering round' FH and I realized I didn't have you on my friends list...Soooooo...FR sent ;) Forging any new maps?
The first one seemed too simple to me, minus the chorus. The second kinda creeped me out lyrically, though I liked both of them a lot.

I've just looked at the tags for Terrace, and while I did tag it with "generic", I did not tag it with the more insulting and less thoughtful tags such as "waste of time", "garbage", etc. I'm gonna run around in forge and check the map out. I'd be interested in playing it as well. What you need to keep in mind is that I am not in your map's "target market" if you will. Among MLG maps, and other symmetrical competitive 4v4 maps, I doubt there's anything particularly generic about the map. However, to a player like me, the map is likely to feel quite generic based on the screenshots. I'll get back to you on that though.
Sorry I worded my response wrong. I have tried designing maps beforehand, but they've never materialized into something that I was happy with in forge. I find that designing the map beforehand doesn't let me be creative while I'm forging. I like to have the pieces that I put down determine how the map's going to turn out instead of having a predetermined design tell me what to do. Furthermore, I could turn the argument around on you and say that you prefer red over blue having never seen blue. I do hope you know that I'm not saying you're wrong. But you're not right either.
I have never designed my maps on paper/sketchup before I go into forge and build them. I've never felt that step necessary, especially in Reach forge, because I can change the design in game as I feel necessary either while I'm building or after I've run some tests. That method has worked for me for a long time now. Now I know that method probably sounds atrocious to you because that's not how you do it. But even if one method works for one person, it doesn't mean that it will work for the next. Thus, there is no right or wrong way to forge.
Exactly. You don't know wrong or right. No one does as there is no wrong or right when it comes to map design. There may be better or worse, but it's mostly depends on the forger. So your opinion of how to design is probably not the same as the next person, but that does not mean that the next person is wrong.
"@Audience: Thank you for ending the argument. You have too little experience to even be talking about this." You are entitled to an opinion, but insulting other members is not tolerated. Period. Not an actual rule, but it's just plain rude. Please don't reply.
Just FYI, my xbox has the RROD, so I won't be coming on XBl for quite some time. It's a damn shame. I really wanted to keep forging and have you help me out with Mirage. I can try to fix it, but it will take me quite some time.
