Right, this device wouldn't be plot-centric at all. Something you'd purchase from the in game store. You'd cut a hole in the wall or door to see through it, but people on the other side could see you too. Might just call the thing a perforater, or maybe that would be better suited to a gun...

Is the a particular option you have to check to get the [Read More] to appear on a front page article, or is it just that my articles are so short it doesn't appear?

So, let's say you cut a hole through glass or a hole in a door, is that a portal device? I'm giving a brief description of what I'm talking about, so it's something where you would have to see it in action.

Portal's idea revolves around a mobile device that allows the user to place a set of linked teleporters. What you just said could describe a set of binoculars where the player could designate targets.

I'm actually surprised developers haven't ripped off Portal yet. Although what I'm proposing isn't really like portal's mechanics.

I like the idea of a sticky camera more-so than x-ray vision, because you would have a limited supply of cameras and even though you could shoot them around corners or ceilings you would still have to be within the general vicinity of target placement. The x-ray vision affords you information without putting yourself in harms way.

A 'view port' gun could be limited by ammo, but even-so just as you can shoot enemies on one side they can shoot you as well. Might also be a neat way to gain access to safes and what-not. Something to prototype and see how it functions before putting too much effort behind it.

I thought of a similar game mechanic although more in line with Portal. Basically you create a view port in a wall or door where you could see through and shoot if necessary. Would be comical if you created one while an enemy was on the john.

An x-ray function like you described would be best used in a stealth game where you may want to plan your route. I understand that Batman: Arkham Asylum had stealth elements so City should retain some of those as well. The only downside to this sort of thing is the element of surprise which is pretty crucial to stealth and action games.

Although it can be said that the player doesn't have to use it and for those players that do they probably enjoy a steady escalation through proper planning than an action packed surprise.

      Thoroughly enjoyable read.

And not exactly like Assassins Creed, but I guess it would be the closest thing to understanding it.

I don't think so. I'd love to read it though, especially while I'm on bed rest.

As for the idea, it's a throw-away although I did get some pretty cool level designs out of it.

Picture walking through a poorly lit Insane Asylum. You get to the last cell, walk in, the door closes behind you. As you walk around the cell the walls disintegrate to reveal levels built around the persons memories.

Also, how do you feel about an intrologue using these lines

"It used to be, you worked hard and were honest there would be a place for you in this world ::reload:: not any more."

Something post apocalyptic or maybe a deranged man who thinks he lives in a post-apocalyptic world and thinks he's exorcising demons but is really murdering the townspeople.

My allergies are not helping my mental functions today.

I wouldn't say you're smug. You don't go around telling people about how cool you think you are. Most of the 'smug, ego crushing' persona has been built by others not you.

Am I going to pursue acting then? Probably not. I might do a little bit of community theater, because I enjoy it, but no aspirations for anything major.

My aspirations lie in game design, but I will probably fail at that. I'll enjoy it while I can though.

The irony is that I got a lot of people come up to me and compliment me. I inwardly thought if I can get you to believe that then what else can I get you to believe.

Please do, I hate despise smug people unless they are comically smug, then I only slightly despise them.

I wasn't fond of my performance either. I didn't feel like I got any help from the person playing Matthew and I didn't get any direction from the director. It felt like the entire time, I should be as melodramatic and downcast as possible up until the final moment. It felt like I was a cliche.

Mount Carmel Christian Church - Events Follow the link then click "The Easter Song" let it load a while and then you can skip to wherever you like. I can't watch anymore of it, I was pretty terrible, it's just plum awkward.

Yea, I want finish SP only got about an hour in on it. Co-op was pretty fun though, one of the best co-op experiences I've played.

Yea, I just clicked the link under recommended on youtube. Those ruskies are weird.

Yea it's laugh riot. Those guys are the writers behind Portal. It gives me a new level of appreciation for the crates in Portal and especially the companion cube.

      The play I was in.
