Ye, I assumed as much after that same idea occurred to me last night as I was thinking over what you said.

Tbh, if randomising does go ahead then I can see it being done within the groups but still having said groups as self contained entities. That keeps it manageable and maintains the point of groups in the first place, also increasing the potential for hype-based coverage (doing group by group rundowns as the thing progresses always works well, and fan favourites for each group etc.), but maintains a sense of randomness about path and who you will have to face.

Lol, either way, they play every week whilst the WB play every other week (or that's how we did it before, frequency is dependant on how we set it up, but 1 and 2 week rotations seems the best way to me) so the LB folks get double the matches to play that the WB guys do. That's why LB runs are so tough tbh, but at least if you keep in there you get to play plenty of games and get to the grand final with a lot of practice etc.

Yes exactly, both the LB and the WB have to end up as the same size for the finals. So if we take N as, say, 32, then after R1 where all are undefeated in the WB then half will have lost putting 16 in the WB and 16 in the LB. Then in R2 8 are eliminated from the LB, 8 left in the LB. 8 drop from the WB to the LB, brining the LB back up to 16 whilst the WB is still at 8. Therefore the LB has to play an extra week to reduce it to 8 again before the WB can play their next round, to maintain parity between the two brackets so that they both reach the point of having 1 team left (for the grand finals) at the same time.

Bear in mind that the LB have just short of double the number of games that WB teams do, though, so fewer games due to dropouts is generally offset. Once the two brackets are separated, WB only play every 2 weeks whilst LB play every week (since the WB and LB play simultaneously one week, then the losers from the WB matches drop in to the LB and the LB play again to maintain even numbers).

Ah I didn't know Mythic was a skull, I never knew it existed in H2 and in H3 I thought it just referred to LASO and the fact that it was a step up from Legendary.
