Dude, go to the MLG forums. Anyone with any clue about competitive gaming knows that the current implementation of the bloom (particularly in the DMR) is just a dice roll as to who wins. It's so forgiving in terms of where the bullet falls even in a fully bloomed reticle that it's not worth properly pacing, but then often enough you can land perfect shots and just have it miss due to the bloom. Pace = get outshot by lucky spammers pretty often. Spam = have it bite you in the ass sometimes, there's no way to actually master it so it doesn't add skill to the game, just luck.

Fragtality made this suggestion, which would make it consistent and thus better. However, I'd like to just turn it off to lower kill times and increase game pace a little, as it is it makes a few too many encounters redundant in terms of ability to get away rather than facing your opponent. Many people blame sprint, but I think no bloom + sprint would be an insanely good and fast game.

Agreed. I personally think that Reach has the potential to be the best competitive Halo behind CE, but the poorly implemented bloom (and, tbh, slower kill times brought by any bloom at all) along with nuke nades and lack of melee bleed just clunky-fy it up. It's still great, but I find myself getting frustrated by it a lot.

Idk, I can't wait until April 1st when we get to see how it performs at a proper event and how the pros react.

Went up against him in MM and he went +16, and that was a while ago when he was still getting used to the game. However, this cheered me up a little, even though we lost.

Apart from that idk, not too involved in the community itself, though I've been browsing TLN a lot recently. If you haven't seen it you should check it out sometime, even if you aren't in to it too much anymore it's a cool place, lots of talk about MLG but none of the tryhards go there. Very friendly.
