Nahh, Parkour is like the opposite of karate. Or at least thats how I think of it. Karate is the art of self defense, standing your ground. Parkour is the art of running away. So when your running away, you won't to get to point B as fast as possible. Most videos you see though are just cool tricks. That link in your map thread will help a lot.
