2 is fine. I'm working on it right now so my ideas may be more conclusive later on at night. The primary goal is merely to add some substance and depth to a small game mod. This means you would be free from any restrictions, and just able to write a few nice pieces that hopefully people will enjoy to read. However thats all i'v thought of, i'll be completely open to ideas, so we'll discuss it later tonight.
I hope you recieve a warming feeling coupled with some butterflies when you ponder the notion of having a mod named after you. Either way, im wondering if your interested perhaps in writing a bit of lore, to go into the computer terminals and add substance. [IMG]
Hey I appreciate the thought of givin' me rep. I really do get sick of people second guessing website admin choices. I ran a site very similar to Forgehub for the Far Cry series on Xbox (you can make maps in that game) so I have a good perspective of their troubles/annoyances. Catch you 'round!
Yea, that's my gb team. We have a fifth, so we alternate players when we can. We can shoot like pros, but don't position ourselves like pros would. We're out of sync as a team. Once we're in rhythm I think we could be pretty explosive, but I really need to work on my dedcision making and that's something that can't be taught really.
I'm broke so I haven't bought it yet. My friend tells me that many of the major gripes with MW2 have been fixed/removed. His initial comment was that spawning is still ****ed up but the level design is great (which is the impression I got from the early-release videos as well) so you can adapt rather than just being straight spawn killed constantly. However, he retracted his statement a few hours later, saying spawns were fine in general. One man army (infinite ammo) was removed, so no more excessive noobtubing. Assault rifles take significantly longer to kill someone (as opposed to the literal one-second spray). Sniper rifles can no longer be used as one-shot close-range killing machines (via quickscoping). Stopping power is nonexistent (bullets did more damage) to even everyone out. Also, it's a very fun game from what I hear.
Check two games prior on countdown. Saved the film, I'll upload it for you. We lost, but only cause our teamwork isn't as good as theirs. We didn't get our ass kicked that much.
that was a much better version. I added some of the pillars and junk they missed from memory and I'm changing the weapons around to the original. Thanks for sending it my way.
Asylum feels soooo small compared to the original. They definitely shrunk the whole thing. pieces and all.
well, for the **** of it, i threw in halo 2. Ascension isn't that far off, they just took out some of the weapons, overshield and banshee. Also, they messed up the spawn system. The geometry is pretty close. Asylum however, is disgustingly inaccurate. I wouldn't even call it a remake. More like, loose inspiration. The lines of sight are insanely different, and the map is super condensed. The rocks... holy inaccuracy there. There are like twice as many rocks, and they are bigger. Plus there are two ghosts on the map. I want to just start from scratch and remake the ****in' thing myself after seeing that.
It does look pretty good. But I have no money, so I'll have to borrow it from one of three friends who own it. On another note, have you made any maps in Reach? I'm working on an Invasion map :D We should test it some time. And are you even playing Reach? I honestly feel a little bored of it, but that's just me, I hope. Might get Black Ops, if I get money...
I ****ing love that you can take a post that is made that shitty in the v2 thread and legitimately reply back to it. I can't even read those without raging at their sentence structure and grammar.
That's honestly why I appreciate Hemorrhage. The version with the Wraiths. It's nice to just have some simple terrain, nice effective bases, and free range use of wraiths, revenants and warthogs. And once again, they took the Banshees out. lol
It does feel smaller, it feels like the rocks on the sides of mid aren't as protective, the whole map feels more open, and I don't understand the exclusion of the banshee. It would be like removing the man cannons from Narrows or the lifts from Construct. Sorta.
