For the most part, I liked it, it was very lo-fi and I couldn't really hear the vocals very well. The same goes with the bass guitar.

Seen your post on Tusk's wall. I would have to recommend FL Studio for you if you're just starting out on a PC. From there, you can record instruments and layer them, organize and so forth in Sony Acid Pro. If you want to get into some of the more complex ****, use Ableton Live. Good stuff and good luck!
