Well it depends what you want from the practice, but your friend's dad sounds like a great place to start with some guidance. Personally, zazen best encompasses my meditation but any starting steps tend to revolve around simple exercises that can be applied to most disciplines.
Yeah, half an hour most days. It's hard work to start with, but for me personally, I think worth the time spent. Obviously it's different for everyone, but I'd recommend dabbling in it a little if the idea appeals.
LOL, that's pretty amusing. Funny how the brain is aware of these things but sometimes takes a while to trickle through to your consciousness. Makes the mind boggle... at itself... I don't think I've ever fallen asleep whilst playing, but in between games I can get pretty vulnerable to it. I started meditating a few years back and as I became more experienced with it I've found I can fall asleep within a few minutes, when it used to take me anywhere up to half an hour. A double edged sword, clearly :P
Well, that's all I could do with the stock I was working with. If you picked out a better, more horizontal, one I could "master chief" it up and put some bullet holes in it =P
I believe TDH's Photobucket account went inactive long enough for it to "lock down" all his pictures. I'm sure you could ask him to fix it, if that is indeed the problem.
If I put new text on it (when my computer will let me download new text) would you want to use something like this for TGIF? I noticed it didn't have a banner anymore. [IMG] Happy face? :D
I'm not sure where they would be and my parents weren't home last night so they couldn't tell me. I only had the Xbox for one day and was hoping to get some clips capped. :(
