Sounds cool, it's good that you have some interesting options in the first year, with the only real choice I had, the only thing that interesting was an American Studies module, which was really cool in itself, but the rest of the year was pretty set and basic.

I've found Uni ALOT less restrictive tbh, that obviously entails a less intensive degree of guidance, but if you've got the interest and drive to take stuff in your own direction then it's encouraged, not punished, which is nice. I'd guess that graphics too is gonna have a reasonable emphasis on supportive writing for work, but since it should hopefully be work in which you can really do what you want then it should be easier to rant about.

Have you got any idea how much of an industry practices focus there's gonna be on the course?

Yeah, I suck with deadlines too, this very moment being testament to that (2 essays due in a week, pulling my hair out :P). Hopefully your point about loving graphics will help though, unfortunately I never really enjoyed english in quite that same natural way, at least not the academic process, just found writing essays came more naturally than other things lol.

I'm doing my last right at the University of East Anglia (Norwich) atm. I feel well out of my depth :P.

Ouch, not the most reassuring thing to see, no :P. But sounds like you've found a place you like, best you can hope for on the Uni trail I guess.

Oh you ho :P, Cambridge is a real nice place, though I've developed a soft spot for Norwich which I think will stick with me.
