Well, what do you have to lose trying it out and seeing how it looks partially interlocked? or even just the top interlocked. Little things like that could end up making the map better.

Well, the main reason I cannot physically delete it myself because I currently don't have my console. I looked over the pictures again and noticed that you were right about it bringing out the architecture. If you must insist on using it, might I suggest interlocking it halfway into the column to make it look less tacked on? Theoretically, it'll look quite nice that way.

No, I haven't, but I can judge from past experiences that the light is blinding. Plus, from the general scale of it and the fact that is roofed off supports this.

Both. I have a personal distaste for it because it's brightness is ridiculously noticeable compared to that of the red and blue lights by themselves. My eyes simply don't enjoy looking at them and I tend to not play as well when looking in the direction, or in an are with a noticeable purple light. So, basically, yes I think the map would look much better without it.
