Forge Hub generally looks down on spam and especially jokes in the more serious forums. Especially the map forums. It is not because of the high traffic of maps, because I remember the same attitude to such spam posts before there was such high traffic in the map forums. It is because of the atmosphere said forums share. I can see how newer members that don't quite understand how Forge Hub views such things (not because of the rules, but because of the attitude members (especially older members) have towards them) could be influenced by such things as joke map posts. That is why I am in full agreement with my and the others' infractions.

The sad truth, however, is that that map isn't a joke map.It is their submission to the contest. OVERBOARD! could be seen as a joke gametype. And because of that, a serious map for a joke gametype following the same attitude as the gametype is inherently a joke map.
I certainly hope they repost it, seriously this time.

It may not be my business, by they are my friends... and it never seizes to amaze me how lacking this community business is in friendliness (for lack of a better word).

Actually, now that I think about it, I forget sometimes that Forge Hub isn't as laid back as XForgery is. I suppose that is why I allowed myself to take part in such crude antics as that.

Don't even try arguing with Dow though. He's just frustrated for the same reason as stated above. Forge Hub is a different place. Different rules and standards apply. We all deserved those infractions, and he should well know that.

There is no rules saying you can't be sarcastic in your post. Map posting rules:

Threads must include at least one picture of the map.

All pictures must be embedded.

Download links must lead to a posted map on the bungie forums, NOT your fileshare.

You must include at least a brief description of the map.

Thread titles must consist of the map name ONLY - no other symbols, comments or irregular formatting.

Nothing about exaggerating in there, unless I am missing it, and then please, by all means, correct me.

How dare you give an infraction to a legit ****ing map. Overboard is a REAL gametype, and if you would have played it, you would have known that it plays quite nicely. If this is your sick way of attacking xforgery, then I am not amused.

hey man, I am thinking about making air hockey on sandbox soon. This time there will be 8 teams of 2 instead of the old 2 teams of 8 on foundry. It should be interesting. Let me know if you think its better to have two teams or eight. Still debating.
