I bought it a few weeks ago after I saw it earlier this year.

Yeah definitely, Bahamut in VIII was super kewl. I think the draw of IX was that it was so, enchanting almost, annoying as that sounds, Zidane was by far the best attempt at a really detailed main character imo, and the style really grabbed me despite the kind of annoying big-head-tiny-body thing.

With X I just felt that it was the beginning of the end of FF as I loved it, the removal of the world map system was a very big thing for me, it was the distinguishing feature of FF which gave it that expansive feel, and X just came of as linear and guided, exploration felt like a trail as opposed to an adventure. The battle system was actually really good imo, but I never got to grips with the Sphere Grid. I tried XII and it really sealed it, FF is kinda dead for me in terms of the new games.

Yeah, I installed the drivers for the 360 controller on Mac a while back, used it with an N64 emulator to play Goldeneye and Zelda with a controller which was awesome. I'll check that out dude, cheers, would be good to get IX especially since I never found a decent rom of it for PSP. I personally enjoyed VIII the most, I preferred the system of having magics as items of a kind, limited by number, since it allowed the junctioning system which was by far my favourite set up. IX was awesome though, I'll always have a soft spot for it, found it more immersive than VII tbh even though the vast majority seem to disagree with me.

All I can say is yes, yes, yes. How on earth did you get FFVII working on Mac? I have to try that. I still need to fix my PSP popsloader so I can continue playing FFVIII, I've done what I always do and blitz my team to lv.100 but stopped just before fighting Adel, Ultemcia's castle is so daunting a prospect :P.

I'm just gonna dash to the shop for a bit, will be back in a little while.
