I'll have to pick it up again and give it another read. I'm sure my tastes have changed, and from what I hear it's a very good book. It was many moons ago when I first read Arkham Asylum.

I try and keep up with the fairly current events by checking out Wikipedia. I'm kind of excited because the now dead Batman is supposed to be one of the new Black Lanterns, which would be awesome.

I think the artwork of Year One is what brings it down more than anything. It's a very subdued, thick style which I've never really liked. I've had to read it multiple times to get past the art and focus on the story, which I like. Big props to Nolan for including some of that feel from Year One.
A.A is cool, lots of people I know love it. It's a 'meh' from me. Again, the artwork distracted me to the point of only reading it once.

hmm, there have been a lot, although I can't claim to have read anything from Batman in the last few years. The Long Halloween and Year One are probably my favorite out of all the ones I can remember. I've never been a fan of the event stuff like Knightfall and the recent RIP storyline. The Killing Joke is awesome, best Joker story ever. Venom was a pretty good story, better than Knightfall IMO. A Death In the Family was interesting if nothing to see Robin getting killed. Can't really remember any others off the top of my head.

interesting is a good word to use. I love burton, but his fascination with Depp is unflattering.

Yeah, it really is. We've got the first 10 or so seasons on DVD, and they're still hilarious. I was pretty happy with how the movie turned out, too.
