Sounds like a tough choice to make. I can't in good conscious recommend going into the military - there's too many variables that factor into where you end up. I was very lucky, and it could have been worse for me. But then again, it's life experience no matter what happens, and it can be great under the right circumstances, with the right mindset. But if you're considering it with any seriousness, hit me up with any questions. Film school would be awesome too, though. That's a medium for creativity that I'm sure you could do great things with.

Ah well that sounds all too familiar. I don't like to throw this around too much, but I was in the 160th SOAR (Army Spec Ops Aviation) for 3 of those 5 years, so I can relate. I wonder if that's what your cousin is doing. I went on a few "extended vacations" myself (South America, those trips couldn't be called anything but vacations). Being a fueler, I didn't see any serious action, but I got some great training and have nothing but good memories.

Yeah, and it was incredibly well-written. I'll pretty much get anything Ed Brubaker does. His work on Daredevil was awesome.

Yeah, he'll be back eventually I'm sure (if he isn't already, I haven't been reading current stuff). I give big props to Ed Brubaker, because that was a brilliant story. I was so pissed off when I heard Marvel was bringing back Bucky, but the way is was done was flawless.

Yeah, Morrison's a strange writer. I either love his stuff or hate it. I hated his run on X-men.
The biggest thing that's always bugged me about event crossovers is that no matter what "earth-shaking" deal happens, it always comes back around to the norm. I hope that eventually they'll grow some balls and change it to where what happens happens, but I've seen it too much to give much hope.
