Fill the ?s in. I was thinking that the baby would be crawling behind some monster boss in a cage and you need to kill the boss to get a key and you can go in there and pick the baby up like an item.

For Act 2, to prevent a shitload of whining, simply make a supremely rare drop from an enemy. Rare enough to take a couple weeks- a month to get enough for everyone to use.
