For one, I didn't notice much insults in that thread, just debating. But I suppose I could be mistaken; I don't remember it exactly afterall.
Two, stop looking at this as a 'Hub Pub attack' on 'poor defenseless regular members'. That's ludicrous. Each and every post in these forums are the thoughts and opinions of the user that posted them. Do not associate this with the Hub Pub, because the Hub Pub did nothing. "Hub Pub bombarding and personally insulting users..." What a joke....

And you're wrong about me 'needing to crush the opinions of anyone opposing me'. I only feel the need to crush the opinions of those who are wrong. I discern which opinions are wrong through common sense, intellect and wisdom. Saying that torture is 'a righteous act and an excellent means of extracting information' is just dead wrong.

Why are you suprised that someone with a high standing would say that they normally don't stoop to insults? I don't. But you know what, I'm only human. That post was one of the most disgusting things I have seen on this forum and I could not help but to react.
