Gotta be one of my personal favourite Batman Villains.

      I found this rather laughable:
"Kite-Man refused to join Alexander Luthor's Secret Society, so Deathstroke threw him off a roof without his kite. He survived this, only to later be killed and eaten by Bruno "Ugly" Manheim. "

apparently the (umlat)ber edition is going to be 4 hours long (methinks)

they said an hour of extra content cut from the film, then they also said the Tales of the Black Freighter stuff.

You'll be fine, I think they play the LOTR score in hell.

One of my main complaints about LOTR is the score, lol. It's got a couple of good moments. I like the scene where they come over the pass in the Misty Mountains (you know the one?), as well as the Rohan theme. But overall, (and this is very personal / subjective), I felt a huge disconnect from the mood of the books and the mood of the movie. Zeppelin captured it much better. More light-hearted, less epic. The situation was just as bad as the movie made it, but Frodo still had a damn sense of humor, ya know?

I found the whole musical direction rather refreshing. I almost never like movie scores. They usually make me feel like they're trying to hold my hand through every moment-by-moment emotional twist. It's patronizing to me. Also, movie scores seem to be emotionally monotone to me. It has often occurred to me that some different flavor of music could have been used in many movies.

I didn't think anything sounded out-of-place or overbearing at all, and I rather liked the Hallelujah bit. So in short, I totally disagree with your opinion in whole, and wish bad things upon you for it. May you rot in hell.

lol. But yeah, the characters all got excellent treatment. That was the main strength of the film.

I rather liked the music, lol. The Bob Dylan in the intro was perfect, I thought. There were a few others that I liked also, can't remember them all. But lines from the Dylan songs were dropped in the comic in places. Oh yeah... the Hendrix All Along the Watchtower was nicely used. You really didn't like the music?

Yeah, and the blue ***** wasn't as obvious as I thought it would be. My god this isnt a children's movie, get the **** over it.

Ah thats how you spell his name. Rorschach was just awesome, period. I'm glad his voice fit, I was worried we'd get another batman-esque voice the entire film, but it fit his personality.

Gonna get Tales of the Black Freighter?

I thought it faithful, but I'm worried Snyder will get **** because it was "boring" and will go over the heads of the general populace.

Can't wait for the 4 hour directors cut. XD

sorry for the long posts lol.

The ending seemed to fit the overall story much better. Moore's original one seemed like a deus-ex machina. Like he couldn't figure out how to fit everything together,so he just inserted a faux ****** squid monster at the end (even though you get a glimpse of it in a painting early on). Furthermore, I like the near-definitive bit at the end, where you hear Rorshach reading his journal, puts everything back in perspective (pays homage to the best character) and still leaves it kinda vauge since you don't really know if the character is going to run it or not.

The environments were great (except for Ozymandias' lair, I wanted the bubble!) with all the subtle details (like the Sally Jupiter poster and Hustler in the Comedian's pad)

The dialogue was spot on (granted half of it was a direct rip), and I LOVED the delivery of "You could have turned the gun into steam, the bullets into mercury...but you didn't", just amazing.
