That would probably be the polar opposite of me. I just like to get things done when it feels right. If something is rushed, then it just won't look as good. I'll be honest, I'm fairly new to forging, but I have interlocked, and geo-merged before, so I should be ok in those categories. If you want, we can try to figure out a day to start talking about what to do. I'll check my schedule for the weekend and see when we could do this.

I'm still not telling. Someone could read into the conversation.

And Dom is an idiot for not knowing people. They have no clue on how to tell who's photobucket account is who's. And they are too lazy to find out. Now unless everyone did know, I would have created a separate account.

Use the Color select tool on the "tools" section. Select the black, then take the "lasso select" and set it to "subtract." (by the red squares) Circle the areas you don't want want gone. Then use color to alpha.

Up to you. You could resize the render to fit the background, but I prefer not too. I can fit in more details if the signature is large before I resize it. Sometimes it's better to make the signature small.

I love the two bottom ones. Now try finding one large enough to fit in your signature.

Just to let you know, it's sometimes better to create the background. So don't always go searching for a background.

The render you chose is a rough chick who loves shooting. So I suggest we go with a gray rock background. If you have any other ideas, go ahead and show me. It might be better. So go ahead and find a couple of those backgrounds.

      And I'm not Asian.

Alright. Since that is a gun render, we have two choices. One, we can create the background, or two, we can find a background.

I honestly have no idea on which one you should choose. From here you should build up your own self-esteem. Only you know what you want to put in it. I'll aid you if you need help, but think of what C4Ds you might put in it, and what border you're going to have with it.

After you chose the render, then I'll help you with backgrounds.

Alright. Liking the character is fine. You want to enjoy creating your signatures. If you hated the character, but created the signature, I'm positive that the outcome will be nowhere near as good as it could have been when you didn't mind the character.

Alright. All of these are fine, but the next step is to see what you can do with the render. When you picked those renders, did you pick them because you liked the character, or because you knew that they are very compatible, and you can do much with them?

(Hahaha, did you know that the "girl" under the other girl is actually a guy?)

Okay. Both of these are not that great. The top one doesn't have what I call an "emotional theme." He's not happy, sad, mad, or anything that exaggerates those feelings. While you can go ahead and create the signature, in my opinion it won't have the potential to be "picturesque".

The second one is better, but there is too much space between her blade and her face. Most of the time you want the face to be the focal point (There are exceptions sometimes, but that's in the next lesson) but that blade will distract from the focal point.

Your best bet is the second one. You can change your selections if you want, but if not, we'll then learn how to select good backgrounds.
