in what way is that spam? i told him help, i told him what i liked, i told him what he could fix, and i gave a rating, You dont NEED to download a map to rate it. So your saying if i see a really crappy map , like from the pictures you can TELL its crappy, your going to download it, waste space in your HD, look at the map, and then give it a rating, no , your just going to give it a rating. God damit, no need to freak out rusty.

I actually attend Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee. It's just twenty minutes from Georgia, though.

Any idea what college you're hitting up?

It is indeed me, but from this past summer. Since then, my sexiness has declined like the setting sun.

Sorry for three comments but my original comment was too long to be made into one.

If I can see further than those before me it is because I stand on the backs of giants. Is Jesus one of these giants and can I see farther than he did on earth? Is it possible that even though the man didn't exist I can stand on the fictious character's teachings and add my own to them because of my increased vantage point?

To wrap this up, the only reason you'd really need to believe Christ existed physically is so you could acknowledge the fact that he was tortured and killed which seems unecessary if really all you needed from it was the meaning.

Ok so you are a fundamentalist in some regards. Unfortunately "in some regards" can easily lead to "in most regards." So I've just denied the physical existence of Christ but I didn't deny that we were forgiven and I didn't deny that the story of Christ didn't have significant meaning. For instance, you and I both know that in Jesus' parables he used fictitious people to depict events so people could derive meaning from them. That was a way god taught us so we could understand. Even though those people didn't exist, it felt like they did, and their mistakes and accomplishments allow us to guide ourselves to a path even greater than theirs. Even though we know they didn't technically exist the meaning derived from it does and in the end that's all that really mattered. So would it be very callous of me to suggest Christ didn't exist and didn't need to and still claim to be Christian so long as the message is the same?

No, no, no. What I'm asking is, is there any part of the bible that should be taken literally and if I don't take it literally my soul is in jeopardy, whether I'm Christian or not.

For instance, let's say I believe the crucifixion was a metaphor. I get the same message but I don't believe it actually happened I am in jeopardy for that belief? Would you deem that un-Christian?

Interesting indeed. If I were to ask you what parts of the bible you were fundamental about could you give me an example?
