    Description/Story:
    I made a map a while back called Skydive which featured about 8 1/2 seconds of free falling in mid-air... But there was a problem; it took about 1-2 minutes just to get one kill... So, to continue with the Sky series, I've come out with Sky Combat. It's a bit like TrueDarkFusion's Albatross, but more focused on killing, instead of gaining hill points... while being in...

    ...that's right... mid-air.

    Gameplay Description:
    Okay, so you know you're meant to fight in mid-air... But I haven't told you how it works. There are two bases. The defenders and the attackers. Each base has 4 man cannons that shoot towards the other side's base.. But you don't stop once you get to the other side's base. Instead, you hit a wall, slide down a tiny bit, then hit more mancannons.. And it continues on and on like this. So while you're in mid-air, you might as well fight.. right? So that's the initial idea, if you haven't realized.. To fight in mid-air.

    The Gametype:
    I'd give you the exact settings, if it weren't for my xbox being at my friends house atm... So I'll just have remember how it goes:

    -Team slayer
    -Primary weapon: Sniper
    -Secondary weapon: Random
    -Unlimited ammo.
    -Gravity: normal
    -All health settings are normal
    -Respawn time: 3 seconds
    -Additional respawn time (for suicides/betrayals): none
    -The only way to score is by killing.. You can't get negatives in any way.
    -Score to win: 25

    That's all I can remember... Just ask if you wanna know something else.

    The Mini-Switches:
    Above each base is a mini-switch which really doesn't do much... and is more of an aesthetic... BUT can be used against the enemy. Here's how to activate it: Shoot the gravity lifts, which release the golf balls, which fall onto the mancannons, which CAN hit another player... but they aren't realistic while in-game, I must admit.

    One Last Random Grenade:
    I made the bases high above the sky bubble's death barrier so when you fall, you can toss that one last grenade, or shoot one last time, just to see if you can get one more kill.. Or vise versa.. Someone above can shoot you while you're falling so they get the kill... which adds a little more skill to the game.

    Weapons/Equipment:
    Both bases have:
    -1 bubble shield_____________60 sec respawn
    -1 trip mine________________60 sec respawn
    -1 flare____________________60 sec respawn
    -1 fire grenade______________0 sec respawn
    -1 plasma grenade___________0 sec respawn
    -1 spike grenade____________0 sec respawn

    The defender's base has:
    -1 missile pod______________180 sec respawn

    The attacker's base has:
    -1 flame thrower____________180 sec respawn

    Warning:

    Every so often you might fall off the man cannons for unknown reasons. I'll admit, it isn't exactly perfect, but it certainly isn't anywhere near from bad... But you have to understand, that if you were to directly hit another mancannon at high speeds, there's no telling where you're going to go... BUT, if you hit an object, then fall onto a mancannon, then you're almost guaranteed to make it.. So to prevent players from falling too much, I set up a bunch of sender nodes right under the mancannons, and set up a bunch of receiver nodes above the mancannons... If you hit the teleporters then you're also almost guaranteed to make it to the other side.

    All in all, don't worry about not making it every time.. You might fall short of the mancannons every 10 or so times, but the gametype doesn't account for suicides/betrayals.. and the respawn time is 3 seconds.. So if you do fall off randomly, (which does happen) it really shouldn't be that big of a deal.

    Final/Random Notes:

    • 2-8 players
    • Recommended: 4 players
    • Everyone should have a good connection or it'll be a bit laggy
    • I used an unlimited budget map (I have absolutely no idea why lol), but I changed all the items' limits to whatever they're at. Example: There are 2 double blocks on the map, so I set their item limit to 2... to prevent lag.. get it?

    Looks pretty fun bro. As far as I can tell, it looks up to par with the standards you set with your older maps. Granted, there's less forging and less technique, but this is still a very creative and seemingly hilarious minigame-style map. It's a definite download for me, as I've never been disappointed by your maps. I'll try it out an try to get back to you.

    Looks good, although the gametype looks like it has too little changes for me to DL. All you changed it looks was the primary weapon, respawn and suicide/betrayal points. That's the only thing, which isn't really a bash, just saying, the gametype's basically a small derailment of team slayer. The map is a great idea!
