Sandbox Contour 2

    About A month ago I submitted Contour.
    Now I have had a lot more testing and I have been making changes based on the feedback I received every game.
    Now I believe that it is ready to be submitted as a V2. Every day I spent 20 minutes finding and fixing every imperfection in the curve of the map.
    I went through a lot of trials with the spawns. It was difficult being such a small map but I believe it is ready for action. Now to the pics.

    This is what the basis of the map looks like-

    This is the entrance to the Round room, the shield door and wooden awning only spawn in Asymmetric games. (Defenders in the round Room)

    -The Round room now has a ceiling.

    Contour
    This is the Battle Rifle in the round room.

    This is the entrance to the Temple-

    This is the Battle Rifle in the Temple.

    The Crypt Hole stayed the same.

    This is where the sniper used to be, now its a needler.

    Same with the other sniper.

    The old Battle Rifle spawns have been replaced with the Spiker Trip Mine Combo.

    Weapon Layout Changes
    The battle rifles were moved inside the bases, this way no-one can camp outside the bases.
    The Snipers were rarely used so they were replaced with needlers.
    The Power Drain has been moved to the shotgun side, it is not set to start.
    Trip Mines were added to increase corner gameplay.

    Additional Changes
    Corner barriers added.

    -Roof on Round room
    -Shields added to round room for asymmetric games.
    -Red and Blue lights spawn when BRs Spawn.
    -Defense Online

    Spawn Changes
    -It is now impossible to see someone within 3 seconds of their respawn.
    -Defenders and Attackers switch sides

    nice map, i really like the shape, at first i thaught this was a conquest map, think it would work out well

    The shape of the map is lovely, and definately as you said the crypt hole is the most distinguishing feature of this map. "People don't use BRs because they're fun, they use them because they're good", huh. Well I'll have to remember that and implement that into some of my maps. By the way, your concept I like, the whole fun over MLG gameplay (games are supposed to be fun!) and the whole unique shape of the map. Your concept gets an 8/10. Your designing was pretty cool. No unecessary, ugly interlocking, and you also did a mighty fine job of interlocking/merging the weapon holders out of sight. Some columns thrown about and some jumping ledges make for different gameplay, but byfar I like your weapon placement. Your weapon selection and placement was sheerly for fun in mind. Your designing earns a 9/10. And your crafting. It's pretty swell. I've seen better, but not many occasions of a merged weapon holder. Interlocking is very precise, and nobody can even tell that some stuff is merged (like the crypt hole). Your crafting would be a 8.5/10 in my opinion. Nice job with this.

    Very good. Unique shape, good use of the shield doors here, and the forging is great. Seems to work out pretty well for such a small map, the weapons are balanced, and you fixed the spawns up.. Good job on the v2 :)

    v2? Never saw a first one, and I haunt the maps forum.

    Anyways, the map seems like a good map. I see very few flaws, excluding a few things, which may prove me wrong. Is the Spike grenade spawn deep enough for Spartans-Elites to be hidden from view? And other things like that I'll find out as soon as I get on the 360. No need to answer, as I'll figure it out. Anyways, great map, and I can see the effort put into the shape and rooms of the map.

    Gameplay- 9/10
    Aesthetics- 10/10
    Forging 101 8.7/10
    Overall- 9/10

    This map probably had potential and V1, and it's been released in this version.

    This looks familiar, because I saw V1 a while back. This looks really good, it looks like you put in a lot of hard work trying and perfect the map. I'll DL and try to get back to you on gameplay, but everything looks pretty balanced.

    Update - I didn't get a chance to play any games, but just from walking around, im impressed. I especially like the corner barrier, it's something I've never seen before. There are some minor gaps etc, but the overall design is really nice. Good job.

    You didnt see it the first time because it was on the first page for a few hours.

    I assume you mean the crypt hole, yes you can stand inside and be out of view as well as crouch under the shield door, then you can stand on a ledge on the side that can let you shoot out from.
