Okay Im having some trouble finishing bioshock. Ive had the game for over a year now and I think Im only a little more than halfway through the game. But Im running out of motivation to finish it. I find myself playing for maybe an hour or so then I start to feel tired and depressed. Half the time Im running around not knowing what to do or go next. The dark environments and the well literally depressing world of Rapture makes me want to stop my brutal violence of electrocuting and beating people brutally and unmercifully with a wrench. I know the story and the setting is what made Bioshock so great but Ive already seen the Rapture and the story is full of psychos while I hunt down Andrew Ryan. Im losing motivation to keep going just for the sake of just saying I beat the game and Im done with it. I could easily go on youtube and watch the plot twisting or whatever ending surprised everyone and never play the game again.

So does anyone have any advice or help?

PS:Bioshock 2 is getting the hype the first never got, which I dont think Bioshcok shouldve gotten a sequel.

Bioshock is a good game but it can get very boring. I recomend you don't play it for a while and come back to it in a couple of days. Also if you are having hard finding your way round i advise you to find a walk through on youtube because the game offers very little help when it comes to explaining missions.

I didn't think bioshock was amazing personally. It was fun for a while, but then after campaign and achievements... meh.

i just bought bioshock a little while ago because of the sequel and because my friends liked it. i really enjoyed it. i finished it in 2 sittings, a total of about 7 hours on the middle difficulty. now that was just running through, not doing anything but the main objective. i'll probably do it again on easy and find everything.
but i guess its just a matter of opinion. personally, at the part towards the beginning when you find the shotgun and all the lights go out except a spotlight over you and you hear splicers screaming, i fell in love with the game.(run on, oh well). also the part right before the final boss battle i thought was amazing.
