This is my friends and I new infection map, called ruins. The story of it is an acciedent that trapped the survivors, explorers, archeologists(whichever you feel like callng them). Then they invstigate around and find an opening and drop down which leads them to ruins. Ghost of the past (alpha infected) are trying to keep this place a secret. As the humans die they join the the ghosts as zombies. Just remember, some accidents are meant to happen. Gametype Map YouTube - Ruins a New Halo 3 Map!! From the video, it looks interesting, but also like it could use some work, like the survivor spawn. Also your pictures are not working.
Okay, not too impressive. This has been done before - alot- better. (You can take that either way..) It's just a run away from zombies in a semi-maze to a goal. I'll give your concept a 6/10 because it's unoriginal, which is of course backed up by a not so swell design to the map and is TOTALLY ESCAPEABLE so the design of it gets a 6/10. Your "old ruins" style architecture is obviously a bunch of blocks thrown around. And worst of all the crafting. You don't interlock or merge ( I guess it might be unecessary in this map, but even so..), and I'm guessing you don't know how to. Take Forging 101. I'll give that bad crafting a 4.7/10. I say that you should probably practice a little more and remember that Forgehub is alot less welcoming than your community gamers.
iknow its not great but, no it i no escapeable. no it is not a semi maze, and no its not going to a certain area. I thank you for the critism. and geomerging is something im ok at, and no its not needed for this map.
yes, merging isnt necessary.. but at least attempt to make everything strait.. I looked at everything, and you just used the grid to place items, not even bracers.. PLEASE try to clean things up abit or you'll get reemed by all of the members that are above the rank of junior member...
Not escapeable? Well, from the video the gameplay includes starting grenades, and with those you can grenade jump over the wall and on top of the map, free to do your will. Or you can just jump off the head of a teammate. A map is not truly inescapeable unless it is at least 3 block sizes high, something this map obviously isn't. And merging isn't necessary here, but remember that interlocking is. You don't know how to use guide blocks, and I can tell all of this because of the video. You obviously place objects by the grid and without any real straight placement. You need to know how to please the audience so you can whip out maps, but to me this map is repulsive. Granted, it's how good I was before I knew guideblocks or interlocking. But I learned and it's about time that you did, too.
Ok, i will learn ths skill and teach my friends so hopefully next map of this, mini seris will be alot better. I thank you for the helpful critism
