Hello once again Forgehub. Its been a while since I've posted a map here, I havent been forging lately. But I do have one Map I'd like to share with the community called "Outpost I45". Its basically a fort made to be played with my new game type "search and destroy". Now I dont know if anyone else has made a search and destroy for halo 3, but me being a huge Call of duty 5 fan did (No there are no MP40's here, dont worry lol). For those who dont know what search and destroy is, i shall explain. Rules ~ - You get one life, no respawn! - this is a one sided assualt. there is one bomb for the attackers, and two plant points for the defenders - there are no shield, waypoint, radar, and you only get a sniper and a pistol. no other weapons are available How do you win? - you need to plant the bomb at one of the two plant points and defend it for 30 second. It take 5 seconds to plant and defuse it, so dont underestimate the amount of time you have - there are 4 rounds, you can either eliminate the entire other team, or you can plant the bomb and hope you last long enough for it to detonate. the round ends on detonation. Weapons (for normal slayer only) - BR's plasma rifles/pistols Spartan laser shotgun maulers spikers Brute shot needler smgs frags flame grenades bubble shield x1 regenerator x1 Please note - Some of the following pictures are taken with the "gloomy fx" orb applied. During gameplay, the gloomy fx orb will be applied. (I had to deactivate it for some pictures becuase of lighting issues srry) Oh and before I forget, for those of you familiar with my hit map "Security six"....expect a V2 =)....check out the old one if you havent! its on foundry I am having trouble with photobucket. Some pictures wont upload so I have to do it again. More pictures will be up soon, but for now, I have the basics. Search and Destroy OUTPOST I45! This is the map. There is a monument in the middle wielding a shotty, plasma pistols, and a brute shot. The far back is the fortress and the place closest in the picture is the attackers spawn. This is the middle monument. You cant go underneath it, tho u can go ontop of it with a sniper or whatever gun you like to use. This is the main fortress. Here you will find a wide assortment of weapons from BR's to the Spartan laser. Notice the two bunkers on the ends of the fort. use them wisely This is one of the two identical corner bunkers. Here you will find a sniper and one flame grenade. This is the very back of the fortress, its a tube like bunker where you can gaurd the main entrance of the Fort. Here you will find 2 SMG's. This is inside the tube bunker. There are two windows looking out at the main entrance. This is plant point A. Luckily I was able to get one of the two plant point pics off photobucket, the other looks like this, and its behind the tube bunker. Well thats all for now! I will put up mroe pics later. Not too bad, a little lacking on objects tho. Also, you can float objects like bomb points by placing them, and without letting go, hitting SAVE CHANGES, without exiting, then END GAME. if done correctly, the object will fall and game end, but then when you restart it will be floating where previously placed.
wait? the attackers have to rush an ARMED ENEMY with no shields, while they have SNIPERS? that doesnt sound fun. even with 2 plant point, that still seems incredibly unfair. for that reason, im not gonna download. the map is also extreaamy open which =/= good gameplay, cwatididthar?
The center structure is useless in the fact you can't go under it. And also, why do the guys assaulting have snipers and magnums? This whole game seems hacked up. Halo 3 is NOT CoD5. Implement an actual fun factor to this so that people won't quit before finishing the game.
