    Slayer, and any variants of it.

    Map Description

    This is my first ForgeHub published map, and hopefully not my last. Battledome is a 2-8 player 4-way symmetrical all out brawl. It has basically 3 main levels:

    The Floor/Bunkers
    Mancannon Spawns/Cage Top
    Battlements

    On the floor/in the bunkers, the weapons/equipment are:

    2 BRs (no extra clip)
    2 Shotguns (no extra clip)
    1 Mauler
    1 Plasma Pistol
    1 Spiker
    1 Needler
    1 Bubbleshield
    1 Regenerator
    1 Deployable Cover
    1 Power Drain
    4 Plasma Grenades

    The Sniper (the map's true power weapon) spawns on top of the cage, along with a firebomb grenade set on a 60 second respawn.

    Also, 4 Spike Grenades spawn up in the Battlements.


    The map flows as thus:
    Players either spawn in the Mancanon spawns, or up in the Battlements. From the Mancannon spawns, you get launched out into the map, usually landing on The Cage. To get into the Battlements, go to one of the teleporters in the map's corners.* Many times, though providing great cover from bullet fire, the Battlements are suicide as they are a little time consuming to escape (i.e. grenade landing behind you). The bunkers are easier to escape than to enter, but their cover is easily bypassed by stepping into the bunker adjacent, and shooting through the fence wall.

    *There are 4 sender nodes on the floor of the map, all on the same frequency. There are 2 receiver nodes in each of the 4 battlement areas (8 total), so you could pop up anywhere.

    This version of Battledome is about v6. Every time it was play tested, either new ways to break the map were found, or something of interest appeared to be missing.

    Its a nice style, and i like the centre piece, but couldnt you have done it a little bigger? Looks a bit cramped, even for small games, just due to the lack of cover.

    It's hard to do it justice with the screenshots. The map takes up most of the main roon on Foundry. Cover wise, my playtesting showed a good balance. Camping bothers me on a personal level, so there is no real good place for this. If a gun can't get you, and well placed grenade can.

    This map looks waay to small, and it looks as though there would not be enough cover for to stop a sniper from spawn camping you.

    The four Mancannon spawns have you spawning inside a shield door, making a sniper's job a bit more difficult. As for size, this is a huge map for me. 90% of my forge creations are half this size, and smaller. The feel I go for is a frenzied all out brawl.

    Actually LXV the map isn't too small at all. I tried it out and it plays like Exile, good for one on one matches, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with 1v1, so please don't judge it before you play it.

    Thank you, Brute. And yes, I make sure it all plays well 1v1. The majority of my play testing was done with my cousin, who loves to routinely own me on maps of my own design.

    I also am with brute, i have had the chance to play on the map and to me it is well built and it is also got for a swat game, and craz's very own party mode

    I accidentally deleted this while clearing out all my extra custom content, sorry, but I have it q'ued for second download. Oh and I really enjoy this map.

    Chromehound, ladies and gentlemen, the genius that broke my map so may times I wanted to strangle him.

    Well, it's good to know someone out there thinks more of my 40+ hour labor than "lacking cover" and "cramped".

    Nice Map,but wouldn't it agravate you if your trying to shoot someone while down below with an AR? If there is a Br on this map,I will give you a cookie,and I will be happy. :) 4/5

    this is a unique spin on the "dome" idea. I like the center box with the pallets all over. I guess if you say the map is bigger than it looks, I will believe you.

    I am just wondering what weapons are on the top of the middle box.

    Good way to think outside the "box" (i.e dome) (pun intended)
