Aviophobia v2 don't look down Download Map Description: This is my second version of my recently posted map Aviophobia. Set in the skybubble, each team is given an assortment of air vehicles located in seperate hanger bays connected to a central base by teleporters. This map is centered around air to air combat, however each base features an anit-air turret made from a warthog. This map plays all slayer, assault, CTF, and KOTH variants. (recommend team games) Weapons on map- 2 sniper rifles 2 rocket launchers 1 missile pod 2 carbines 2 machine gun turrets vehicles on map- 2 transport hornets 2 attack hornets 4 banshees 2 warthogs (immovable, used for the AA turrets) Now for some screen shots Red side overview Blue side overview Center structure/missile pod spawn A banshee hangar A hornet hangar And some action shots Changes from original include standard warthogs replace guass hogs in AA guns Machine gun turrets in bases removed plasma cannons on center replaced with machine guns spartan laser replaced with missile pod-spawn time time decreased increased emphasis on air combat juicy filter added to reduce visibility (placed on center structure if you wish to remove it) That's it, enjoy!
What? "fewer ground options to encourage air combat"? That still doesn't go in my opinion. And there's only a missile pod and some MG turrets? This looks like the guy in the Hornet is going to go on a major killing spree.
that's you're opinion, playtests prove otherwise. the hornet has a very long respawn additionally while all other vehicles spawn quickly. Hornets are few, far between, and easily killed with a little teamwork. remember, "air combat" not guys shooting banshees with lasers
