Avernus Castle Download Author: T4K Shadow Base Map: Sandbox (Default) Player's: 4 - 16 Gametypes: Infection (Breach The Wall) Description Avernus Castle, my first ever published castle. Avernus was a place of the dead in Latin mythology, and so thats where the name comes from. This is my favourite infection map I have ever made and spent a considerable amount of time on it. Although I cannot tell you exactly how long, I'd guess at around 20 hours. Yes, there is geo-merging on this map, in fact, there's lots of it. The map plays with Breach The Wall. This is also my submission into the Forge Cafe Sandcastle contest, and hopefully I will stand a chance. There are two FX's on, juicy and gloomy. It turns the bricks more yellow and fits in with the sandcastle theme more. I'm not very good at description's so I'm going to move swiftly onto the pictures! Weapon List: Weapon - Total - Respawn Rate - Spare Clips BR x 5 - Never - 0 Carbine x 2 - Never - 0 SMG x 2 - Never - 0 Brute Shot x 2 - Never - 0 Shotgun x 1 - Never - 0 Sniper x 1 - Never - 0 Rocket x 1 - Never - 0 As you can see ammo is low, but it makes it fair. Nice map. I don't play zombies often, but I'm downloading it just for its aesthetic value. Your use of the objects available was very creative. I love the use of scaffolds at the gate. The map played pretty damn good too. Great map Great game type. 4/5
This is by far the best forging aesthetically I've seen done on an infection map. Possibly the best forging, period too. I don't really get why the zombies are yellow, is it for them to camoflauge? Or because nobody uses yellow armour? But anyway, I'd rate this a 5/5 infection game. Swell job, swell job. But I'm sure that more people will comment on your recon helmet than the map itself, but by the way... HOW DID YOU GET IT?
I think this is the best ever map for infection when it comes down to aesthtics and gameplay, but i think u should try to make it a little harder for the zombies to get in by doing something like a gate or something, good job, 4.5/5
Sorry for the late reply, I lost my internet for a week. The reason the zombies are yellow is camoflauge, and to fit in with the whole 'sand' theme. I think I'm going to change my avatar.....Several people have asked me that and the truth is, I don't have recon. I just like the look of it, so I made it my avatar. Thank you everyone for the possitive feedback, hopefully my sandcastle will stand a chance in the Forge Cafe contest. Only time will tell...
