I was making a map for the Template Contest. I honestly thought it would win, it was a mix between Utah Mambo, and Tetradymite. It had Geomerging and every item was interlocked. Now this is why I'm upset. I quit out, started lookin at my other map with my friend. He was party leader then he quit. I ended the game started it back up, and hit the save button. To save as new map. It hit save changes instead of Save as new map. Now my completly fifferent Template map was overwritten on by a Sky bubble map, and I have no idea how! It also says that Bungie made it, and nothings right about it. It just doesn't make any sense to me and I was litterally 1 day away from posting. My eyes ****in started to water up. What can I do? I have the film of it but the maps nowhere to be found. Not in customs, Maps, Recent Maps, nowhere. Is there any possibility of me getting my map back? Seriously,
I had something similer to this happen to me,as far as I know there is no way around it. Im really sorry for you dude.
Did you try recent maps? Other wise there's no way around it, it really sucks when stuff like this happens.
Lol, you wouldn't have won anyway tyler (; remember? Okay, if you would like some help, I am willing to help you rebuild your map from scratch again. Just save a video clip of it so we can look around. And, you don't even have to give me credit. You and me are still on that bet remember? And I want to whipe the floor with you fair and square.
I heard about this and wondered this exact thing Given To Fly... How come you didn't have any other copies of the map. I swear that when me and Jimbo made a map together that we had at least 15 copies of the final version every time. I feel so sorry for you Given... If that had ever happened to me I would have quit forge, and I might still be crying right now... I wish I had seen it before it was erased, everybody's telling me how amazing it was. Maybe they'll let you just submit a film clip of it, lol. Would that count?
lulz.. I'm not sorry for you, because as Conker said, backups! If you get that far into a map, and don't have a backup, then LOL! It may have been a good map, but meh. This happened to me once, on Last Resort (that means I LEARNED) But! If you give me your Windows Live ID, Password, SSN, Home Address, and Telephone Number I may be able to get it back for you!

Asshole, I got my map the way I liked it, I didn't need to have variations, because it was working out everytime. And big ****in whoop that your Last Resort map got deleted! It doesn't even compare to a full mid level Sandbox map. Youve got no idea how depressed I was.. Theres a video of it on my fileshare. If you wanna see it. Thanks Zander your always there for me but I can't stand the thought of rebuilding the entire thing over again...
Check if one of your friends has it in his recent games. I saved a map like that, and obtw, Jimbo was probably high, so take no offense.
Try using Bungie.net to find the game you played where you made the map. Then you will get a link to the download. Better hurry, though!
