Mythic DLC Alterego

    Description

    This is Alterego, a map variant on Orbital. This is my first map on Orbital and decided to make it since i havent seen to many made on the map. The map is semi-symmetrical but does have some asymmetric properties. The map was based around Slayer and CTF but works fine with Assault and Infection as well. The map has 2 power weapons, a shotgun and a sword, and also has a powerup and main power drain.

    Weapons

    The weapons include:

    6 Brs- 30 sec- 2 clip

    2 Sniper-120 sec- 1 clip

    1 Shotgun- 180 sec- 2 clip

    1 Sword- 180 sec

    2 Spikers- 30 sec- 2 clip

    1 Invisibility- 180 sec

    1 Power drain- 120 sec

    Random Facts

    I tried to get the map symmetrical but since the map is non symmetrical in the first place it was alittle hard. Also i know that the sword and shotgun might be alittle overpowering but i figured id let gameplay decide whats best. Ill take them out if i need to in a V2. Overall this map took me about 12 hours to make most of it being where to place stuff like the mid hallway boxes and stuff. O and before i forget yes i know the teleporters may cause camping but a team would be incredibly stupid to take off the wire spool so i put it there as a last resort for CTF, but unless the other wire spool is removed noone can get through the teleporters anyway.

    You have done really well with the middle bit, but the only problem with that is you have to jump over ther rails all the time which to me would piss me off no offence.

    Don't store a heap of fusion coils in one place if some stood near it it would blow everyone up so yer.

    Anyway this map has to be one of the better ones on orbital because it is very clean and i hope that it has great gameplay

    Its a great map and the fact that it is on Orbital makes it much more original because there is very little to work with on Orbital. The only thing that ticks me off it the 4 stacked powerups in the middle, I would remove them because if someone grenade jumped, they would reach a custom powerup and an overshield at least...

    You've done and epicsecks transformation of orbital. I tried to use the doors to make a similar ramp over the chasm, but I gave up due to frustration, so kudos for that.

    I love the little invis cave.

    some very nice merging here. Not sure it would be my kind of map due to the confinement of it and the multiple crates and fusion coils you have used, but still, great forging. I hope to see more ideas like this in the near future!

    Wow this looks fantastic! So far this is definitely the best Orbital variant I've seen. I've made a version of it myself which I'd like to shortly post on here. I love the look of Orbital and since it came out I wanted to get hold of a more playable version of it (because the original is awful). My version plays a lot better than the original, hopefully this will too.

    Very professional merging, by the looks of it, and excellent interesting use of areas.

    The reason I put all the fusion coils in was to blow the wire spool out from the teleporter they weren't meant to kill the entire team in one blow

    WOW. Just WOW.
    Orbital has been turned on it's head. This map looks nothing like the original, but is also incredibly unique. From the pictures, the merging looks neat, and the gameplay would be very exciting. I think 1 sniper is enough, due to the long lines of sight, however I'm yet to play this so i'll give it an immediate download.

    I like the middle bit, except u shouldve made it so so u dont have to jump the rail, dont use as many explosives in one spot.

    the only problem is that you can get those powerups on the wall.

    jump on the guard rail, grenade jump onto the light near the wall, look right, there's a cuvey corner, jump on that, than grenade jump onto the platform above it. hug the wall all the way to the end...
